Greetings from the loop! We have a lot of things to cover, so let’s get to it!

This post is the first of two… Here we’ll cover how we did in December. And in a second post, we’ll do a retrospective to cover all of 2016.

What did we do in December?

We did a couple of things in December which were firsts for Moebius Adventures.

First, we did a holiday-themed adventure. The Mazes & Perils Holiday Special 2016 was born from a conversation I had with my friend Alan. We started shooting the breeze one day and I suddenly had a rough outline for a Winter-themed idea, which then managed to develop into a full-blown module.

Though we haven’t released the module yet (it’s coming in January!), I had the opportunity to run it during the Storyteller Day festivities at my FLGS – Petrie’s Family Games. I had a great time running the adventure with a small group of players (4) right before Christmas. It didn’t hurt that we had a bit of a blast of winter weather that day, so it was definitely in sync with the feel of the adventure! BRRRR!

We’ll be releasing the adventure for both Mazes & Perils and 5e, so stay tuned for that soon.

That said, we did release the Charlatan – the latest new class for M&P. He’s a bit of a con man who will wheedle his way into your campaign soon, I’m sure. 🙂

Second, we did our first holiday-themed bundle for Mazes & Perils. We collected everything we released for M&P in 2016 — the main book, classes, the undead guide, the character sheet, and two adventures — and then we sold it for about $10 at the DriveThruRPG/RPGNow and Open Gaming Stores. We had a great response from that effort, so thank you to everyone who took advantage of the great deal! It was essentially about $25 worth of product for ten bucks. Not too shabby!

And lastly, we’ve started putting together a set of SRD pages as a wiki for Mazes & Perils right here on the Moebius Adventures website. You can see it here. It’s not complete yet, but I’m adding things to it a bit at a time from the book. It won’t include absolutely everything from the book, but the goal is to include all the basic classes and information you might need to get started.

Definitely a work in progress, but we’re hoping it helps as a resource for the game table!

Beyond that you know we had a mess of posts at the blog!

What’s up next?

We have so many things on the horizon, I’m in shock. But I don’t want to let all the cats out of the bag right away!

I already mentioned that the Mazes & Perils Holiday Special 2016 is just about ready to be released. We’ll get that out sometime in January for both M&P and 5e.

The revised Snake’s Heart adventure is complete and undergoing some edits and revisions now. It went from being about 4,000 words to hovering around 10,000, so hopefully you will enjoy it the next time you see it!

Now that that’s done, I’ve started working on the Serpents Below adventure to do the same kind of thing to it.

But I’m not the only one who’s been writing up a storm… Vince has a new series of modules he’s been working on along with even more classes. There’s a Kickstarter on the horizon and we’re going to bombard you with tons of new stuff after that.

So stay tuned for plenty of goodies to come your way. I am so excited about 2017 I can hardly contain myself!

Are you interested in playtesting any of our adventures? I would love to get some additional feedback before these see the light of day… Drop us a line at the Contact page and let’s talk!

What about the traffic?

How’d we do this month? We ended with a BANG!

  • New site – 1977 page views, 1329 unique visits, 1067 first time visits, and 262 returning visits.
  • Last month –1060 page views, 751 unique visits, 637 first time visits, and 114 returning visits.

To say that we blew November out of the water is an understatement. We hit 186% of November. We’ve broken 1,000 page views only a few times before, but never reached almost 2k! Wow!

Thank you to everyone who not only read our content but commented or shared. As always, please feel free to share links to our content if you find them useful or interesting – that would help a ton!

And what about sales?

The Christmas Mazes & Perils Bundle did a great job of getting our stuff into your hands, so thank you to all of you who picked it up. We had nearly 500 downloads in December, which was about 4x what we saw in November.

As a result, it was the whole Mazes & Perils line that did fantastic. We had nearly 60 people pick up copies of the bundle — and with 8 products in that bundle, it boosted things quite nicely!

We appreciate each and every purchase and download, so thank you very much for your support! If you get a chance to leave a review at any of the stores where you purchased our products or directly via social media (Facebook is awesome!) or just drop us a note via our Contact page!

Thank you!

We’re still here! Thanks to all of you who visit the website and continue to buy our products, so thank you!

We hope your December was full of great gaming and your 2017 is too!
